Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 March 2026
These Terms of Service govern use of the Open Data Security website and related public-facing materials. Open Data Security is a product of Itson Group Ltd (Company Number NI718987). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Website Purpose
This website provides information about security services, customer pathways, offensive programme models, case studies, ODS Labs research pages, product pages, thought leadership content, and contact channels. Content is provided for business information and does not constitute legal, financial, or regulatory advice.
2. Service Engagements
Any red team, penetration testing, authorised offensive security, or related services are governed exclusively by separate signed agreements, statements of work, and authorisation documents. In the event of conflict between these website terms and a signed contract, the signed contract prevails.
3. Product and Research Content
Pages describing products, concepts, and ODS Labs initiatives are informational unless expressly stated otherwise. Publication of a product or research page does not itself create an offer, commitment, or contractual obligation to provide a specific capability, feature set, or deployment model.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse this site. Prohibited conduct includes (without limitation): unauthorised access attempts, scraping or automated abuse beyond normal indexing, disruption of site availability, introduction of malicious code, fraudulent use, or any unlawful activity.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All site content, branding, text, graphics, logos, layouts, and media are owned by or licensed to Itson Group Ltd and/or Open Data Security unless stated otherwise. No part of the site may be copied, adapted, republished, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
6. Accuracy and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee completeness, suitability, or uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.
7. Third-Party Links
The site may link to third-party websites for reference. We are not responsible for third-party content, security, availability, or privacy practices. Inclusion of links does not imply endorsement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Itson Group Ltd and Open Data Security exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Security and Responsible Behaviour
Users must not test, probe, or attempt to bypass site security controls without explicit written authorisation. Any suspicious or abusive activity may be logged, blocked, and reported to relevant authorities.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Itson Group Ltd and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms or unlawful use of the site.
11. Privacy and Cookies
Use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of the overall legal framework for site use.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time to reflect legal, operational, or service changes. Updates become effective when posted on this page. Continued site use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or in connection with these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply by law.
14. Contact
